Card Tuesday at PS

Good morning all

Today is card Tuesday and my first entry as Designer at Practical Scrappers.

We were to make something using stitching either hand or machine...I did both !

I made an easel card of course....

I found this cool patterned paper online and it looked like a quilt,,,,so I used my sewing machine and stitched the squares like a quilt. Then I hand stitched the snow flake and 2 hearts/ added a couple buttons with string. Sheer ribbon. pom pom ribbon and a glittered snow flake.

I used a matching paper for the bottom ans cut it out with the cricut using storybook cart several times inked the edges and heat embossed Merry Christmas with Green embossing powder.

cuttle bug embossing folder snow flakes ,did a zig zag stitch on it with my machine and added another glitter snow flake.

I cut the corner as a tirangle then used Martha Stewart scallop punch .

Come on over and play with use ....It's a lot of fun !

Good morning all

Sorry I have been MIA lately,I have been really busy.

Here is a card I made last week for a card challenge then changed my mind and made another one...ever do that? I do a lot.....lol

I used cricut cart paper pups

sorry can't remember the sizes...and a child's year for the frame

I pierced around the edges and added some gems / pop dotted and some polka dot ribbon.

A quick cute card.

Christmas card /OCC Challenge

Good Sunday to you all

It is a beautiful one here unseasonably warm today...( not complaining )

I made this card for the challenge over at OCC

We were to use the post card sketch for inspiration , this is what I came up with.

Paper is from DCWV Christmas stack

I used a postcard image from computer ...distressed it and inked it.

Merry Christmas and hot coco and marshmallows with snow flakes stamps....stamped on the post card.

stitched/ ribbon the checked ribbon is red but showing up pink....hmmmm

The new K&Company Chip board tag, these are so pretty....

This is a Sketch by a very talented Aymee Gandy AKA southernbellscrapper from the cricut board. I took this pic of Courtney and her best friend Tyler playing in one of my piles of leaves ...my back yard edges the woods so it is blanketed in leaves .

For this layout I used Brown ,Orange and Red card stock...distressed the edges.

2 picture tabs and brads.

I was gonna doodle in the corners but I didn't know if that would be an over kill ...so I didn't !

Good Sunday to you all

Well this is another Sunday no church, I don't think we have been to church in a month.

We have all been sick....don't want to spread the sickness...now my hubby has some kinda belly thing going on....I sure can't wait for all this crap to be gone..........

I made this card and gift box for some friends of ours , they made up Courtney a basket full of beauty supplies, she loves to play dress up and do hair ...she makes Pappy up real GOOD !!!!

Our friend is a hair dresser .

Time 2 Live a little

I have joined yet another challenge...( Boy) they are addicting...lol

I figured while I was making a male card I would make my son Bob his Birthday card.

He will be 34 in Jan.. He is such a great person , I was gonna say kid....lol He will always be my kid! Any way He has a Family and works long hours for an Electric company and goes to school on top of that .

He helps anyone in need ...He is just such a busy person....I think he needs to slow down and enjoy live and I tell him that all the time..So I thought this card was perfect for him....

Graphically speaking for file folder I cut on Design Studio because I wanted it a little more square to fit the card better ...so I stretched it .

Karate/ card for Jaimie

Hi again this is my 2ND post of the day

I did a challenge over at saturdayspotlight and I was checking some of the others work and happened across this blog It had such heart breaking story about this little girl Jaimie...

They were asking everyone to make her cards

She is 11 years old and on Oct 4 while Jaimie and her mom slept 4 teens broke in to their house with knives to rob and kill all in side. her Mom was brutally murdered and she was seriously injured. I would like to ask all that read this to please check out this web site that I am gonna post in my side bar it has all the details and send her a card to help lift her spirits.....and if you do they are giving away so many prizes...

I found out that she likes karate and has a black belt, so I found this cute stick figure on line and printed it out....

cricut cart plantin schoolbook for the ovals cut @ 4 & 3 1/2 ins pop dotted & the star pop dotted, can't remember the sizes think I started at 2 and went down 1/4 in for each one after that.

Used cuttlebug embossing folders Swiss dots & Swirls...

Black Ribbon to represent her black belt.....

And a prisma flower and added some skittles.

Cuttle bug embossing folder ornaments

spell binder frame

Cricut cart Opposites attract for joy cut @ 2 1/2 ins layered 4 times and embossed with ornament folder.

sheet music and paper doll from the Internet , added some lace/ribbon/flower/snowflake ornament/ I doubled the buttons white ,red/ gems and pop dots.

I stamped Season's greetings and then heat embossed it .

Well I think I am on the mend here...but I feel good for a while then I don't feel good...so I don't know, sure wish it would hurry up and leave....lol

We had to make something vintage

I made a Thanksgiving card

for this I used

Sweet heart Cricut cart for the cartoche...it is the frame that the picture is on....I cut it @ 3ins 5 times

glued the layers together then got this vintage post card pic and traced it, cut it out and added it to the frame...inked and sanded the edges...I love that look.

Bingo card from Internet added Happy Thanksgiving and inked it.

Lace /leaf dollar punch/ Martha Stewart branch punch

Raffia/ button/sheer tulle/ string Happy Thanksgiving & leaf stamp

Added some gems/ distressed and inked the paper.
